Completing On-Site Delivery & Final Transfer

Scan delivered contents and transfer them to the insured’s on-site location to complete delivery.

Step 1: Scan Contents at the Property

Once you are on-site and unloading the truck:

  1. Tap Production

  2. Tap Contents Production

  3. Tap Scan

  4. Begin scanning boxes and items as they enter the property

You may scan:

  • All items at once

  • In batches

  • Individually as they are carried inside

The objective is to digitally scan and transfer all delivered contents using the mobile Production view before leaving the property.

When finished scanning, tap Done.


Step 2: Transfer to the Insured’s On-Site Location

  1. Open the Action Menu

  2. Tap Transfer

  3. Select By Name

  4. Search for the insured’s last name

When a job is created in iCat, an on-site location is automatically created for that job.

Select the appropriate on-site location and tap Apply.

The contents are now transferred to the insured’s property.

Delivery is complete.


What Happens After Transfer?

Once transferred:

  • The contents are no longer part of your Active Contents Production View

  • Scanning them in the standard production view will not register

This is expected behavior.

The items have been officially delivered and removed from active warehouse inventory.


How to View Delivered Contents

If you need to review delivered items:

  1. Open Smart Search

  2. Select Jobs With Delivered Contents

  3. Choose the job

  4. Tap OK

You will now see all contents located at the insured’s on-site location.


Post-Delivery Scanning

Even after delivery, you can:

  • Scan an item to locate it

  • Add a tag

  • Add a note

  • Review its record

The system will recognize the barcode and display the delivered item.


Delivery Process Complete

The delivery workflow is now fully closed:

Chain of custody is complete.
