This quick review protects the accuracy of estimating, billing, and non-salvage documentation.
There are three checks:

  1. Barcode Check – Single Items

  2. Billable Description Check – Across All Billable Items

  3. Flat-Rate Cleaning Box Review – Ensure no single billable items are inside

Completing these steps takes just a few minutes and prevents the most common pack-out errors from moving forward.

1. Barcode Check – Single Items

Every single item removed from the property should have a barcode so it can be tracked through cleaning, storage, and return.

Search Criteria

  • Job Name: [Select the correct job]

  • Status: All statuses except Replacement

  • Box Type: Single Items

What to Look For

  • Each single item should show a barcode label

2. Billable Description Check – Across All Billable Items

Billable items include:

  • Single items

  • Regular box bill-by-item contents

  • Non-salvage items

Billable items should have clear, billable descriptions and should not show “[Multiple Items].”

Search Criteria

Use a combined search to pull up all billable items:

  • Job Name: [Select the correct job]

  • Status: Cleanable, Restored, Repaired, Reclean, Replacement

  • Box Type: Single Items + Regular Boxes

  • Tag Type: [Multiple Items]

What to Look For

  • Items tagged “[Multiple Items]”

  • Any descriptions containing “[Multiple Items]”

  • Items that do not visually represent one identifiable item

3. Flat-Rate Cleaning Box Review

Flat-rate cleaning boxes should contain only general household items that are billed by the box, not single billable items.

Search Criteria

  • Job Name: [Select the correct job]

  • Status: Cleanable, Restored, Repaired, Reclean

  • Box Type: Flat-Rate Cleaning Boxes (Green)

What to Look For

  • Use the Gallery View (Action Menu > Gallery View)

  • Items should look like general “stuff”

  • No large items

  • No electronics

  • No individually billable items
