What You Can Fix with Global Edit
1. Move Contents to the Correct Job
If contents were inventoried under the wrong job:
Select the items
Choose the correct job in Global Edit
Assign the room you want them placed into
This safely relocates items from one job to another.
2. Update Item Category
Useful when a category was chosen incorrectly at pack-out.
3. Update Item Status (Important for Non-Salvage)
If technicians forgot to mark items as Replacement / Non-Salvage at the job site:
Select the affected items
Change their status in one click
This ensures:
Insured can see items online
Non-salvage reports include them
Fast LKQ can process them correctly
4. Mark Items as Rush
If multiple items need rush handling, apply the Rush flag in bulk.
5. Update Descriptions
Quickly correct or standardize descriptions for many items at the same time.
6. Change Original Pack-Out Location
If a room was mislabeled or created incorrectly on the device, you can batch-move items to the proper room.
7. Adjust Quantity
Correct quantity errors for one or many items at once.
8. Remove Items from a Parent Box
If items were mistakenly placed inside a box during pack-out:
Select them
Use Remove Parent Box
The items become stand-alone line items again.
9. Apply a Note to Many Items
Add one note that applies to every selected content item — useful for reminders, QA, or internal communication.
