When to Use This Mode
Use this workflow when contents will be stored and delivered back exactly as-is, with no cleaning, repackaging, or barcode reprints.
This creates a proper Storage-Only (Return-As-Is) boxed entry in iCat.
Because Storage-Only barcodes are never reprinted, technicians must handwrite the room name and a short contents description on the box at the time of inventory.
This ensures delivery teams can quickly identify the correct destination during pack-back.
When the Return-As-Is status is selected, AI uses the first five photos to create a long description of all items being stored.
“Return As Is” = Storage Only.
Steps
Open the job → go to Inventory → tap +.
Tap Room and select the room the contents came from.
Tap Box Barcode and scan the barcode you placed on the box.
Write the room name and a brief contents note on the box.
Select a Regular Box (any size with grey background).
Storage-Only boxes must use regular box resources.
Tap Status → change it to Return-As-Is (Storage-Only).
Tap Content Images and take clear group photos of all items going into the box.
AI will use the first five photos to generate the description.
Tap Done when finished.
Tap Save to complete the box entry.
Tap No when asked to add another item to this box.
