When to Use This Mode
Use this workflow when items inside a box must be billed individually for cleaning but do not require their own barcodes.
Select a Regular Box (grey background) and use Quick-Shot to rapidly capture items, creating clean individual line items for estimating and cleaning.
Ideal for:
Soft contents
Dry-cleaning items
Contents that only need to be tracked under the box barcode (not individually throughout the warehouse)
If you’re processing soft contents, ask your administrator to create a Garment or Soft Goods Bag using a regular box resource.
Steps
Open the job and go to Inventory, then tap +.
Tap Room and select the correct room.
Tap Box Barcode and scan the barcode you placed on the box.
Select a Regular Box (grey background).
All items in this box will be billed individually.
(Optional) Enable Quick-Shot at the bottom if you have many items and want rapid capture.
Tap Take Photos to begin.
Each photo becomes one billable line item in iCat using Quick-Shot.
Tap Done when finished.
Tap Save to complete the box.
Tap No when prompted to add another item.
Upload your inventory:
Either live in real time, or
After the pack-out (manual upload).
Return to the job → open Inventory → pull down to refresh.
AI descriptions will begin to appear for each captured line item.
