iCat is true pick-pack warehousing software.

In iCat, any search result can be turned into a pick list—an essential tool for smooth warehouse operations.

Note: Pick lists are instantly visible in the Contractor Edition of the iCat Inventory App.

Warehouse teams can fulfill them live, reducing printing, handwriting, and manual updates.

What a Pick List Does

A pick list:

  • Identifies required items

  • Shows where each item is located

  • Provides clear instructions so warehouse teams can retrieve the correct contents quickly

This is standard warehouse documentation and aligns your digital workflow with physical processes.

How Administrators Generate a Pick List

Administrators often generate pick lists from the Contents Administration View, especially when coordinating warehouse or customer requests.

1. Narrow Your Search

Use any search criteria:

  • Job

  • Room

  • Status

  • Description

  • Tag (e.g., Donate, Rush, Review, etc.)

Example:
If the insured requested certain items be donated and the pack-out technician applied a Donate tag:

  1. Click the Donate tag

  2. Click Search

  3. The results show only items with that tag

2. Generate the Pick List

Once the items are filtered:

  1. Open the Action Menu

  2. Select Pick List

  3. Wait for the report to appear in Reports Activity

  4. When the report turns green, click to open it

Your pick list is now ready—either for printing or for digital fulfillment through the app.

Summary

Pick lists in iCat:

  • Turn any search into a clear retrieval task

  • Reduce confusion and errors in the warehouse

  • Support both printed and in-app workflows

  • Help administrators quickly delegate or action inventory tasks
